What people say about us

“Digital Outreach Ltd has made an outstanding contribution to the success of the switchover programme to date. Its ability to mobilise the voluntary and community sector to support those in the community who need extra help and advice when switching to digital TV has been invaluable. Digital Outreach has become an integral part of our public information campaign.”

Simon Crine, Director of Corporate Affairs, Digital UK

“Working closely with Digital Outreach in the voluntary and community sector has given us the ability to have a friendly “conversation” with the people that we look to support. We write directly to them, but many people are either suspicious of direct-mail or don’t recognise the offer as being genuine or for them. Digital Outreach (and their partner organisations), provide a trusted voice, that has legitimised the scheme thus offering much valuable reassurance. They have helped many thousands of eligible people to access the scheme and guided them through the process.”

“Their dedication and belief in the Scheme is evident across the whole organisation, from the Chief Exec to the volunteer on the ground – outstanding support which has led to some terrific outcomes."

Peter Daley, Head of Networking for the Help Scheme, Carillion Energy Services (formerly Eaga)

“Working with Digital Outreach on such a high profile campaign has reinforced our reputation and standing amongst other organisations and enabled us to build a more comprehensive database of community groups. We are now directly linked to more organisations, and as a result we are working more closely with them. Our work with Digital Outreach has also increased the number of clients we have, who have gone on to take up further services from Age Concern. We are now putting in a bid for funding from the digital inclusion fund, and we are sure that our involvement with the switchover project will help us to be successful in this.”

Margaret Hanson, Chief Officer, Age Concern North East Wales.

“Working on the Communities Work project with Digital Outreach has provided some lasting benefits to Plas Cybi Partnership. We have been able to move a member of staff from a part-time to full-time position, and the experience gained from taking part in the Communities Work has helped us source extra funding for that member of staff to work on a number of further projects. As well as creating additional contacts with organisations we had previously worked with, the Communities Work project increased our network by at least six new organisations. It has really helped us to extend our reach and increase the awareness of Plas Cybi Partnership amongst other organisations, and more groups and organisations are now approaching us direct.”

James Hart, Plas Cybi Partnership

"Following completion of the WRVS Digital Switchover Helpscheme Wales, from the many volunteers who came forward to assist on this scheme we have been able to identify a number of extremely competent, empathetic and informed individuals to assist on the new WRVS Befriending Scheme in Pembrokeshire.

"Their assistance on this project is proving invaluable and without the bringing together of all the volunteers from the WRVS in Wales who supported the Digital Switchover Scheme we would not have been in a position to meet up with and get to know all these volunteers.

"I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time with so many of our volunteers from around Wales, appreciate all their efforts on the Digital Switchover Helpscheme in Wales and am especially pleased to now have them as part of this exciting new service being delivered in Pembrokeshire."

Susan Meister, Project Manager, WRVS
