Liz was responsible for managing the DOL community outreach programme in the Granada region in 2009 – at that point the single largest region to switch to digital TV. Now she has turned her attention to home turf Yorkshire whilst overseeing the outreach programme in the Channel Islands at the same time.
Liz joined DOL two years ago after an extensive career in the media. For several years she was a programme maker of documentary and factual programmes with Granada Television, where she was as happy interviewing reindeer herders as politicians. More recently she worked as the Action Desk producer at BBC Radio Lancashire where her role was to encourage volunteering and community action amongst listeners.
Liz shares her home at the foot of Ingleborough with one Border collie, two Burmese cats, one teenage daughter and one very patient husband and she tries to get outside into the surrounding countryside with one or some of them whenever she can.
