Finlay manages a number of intensive outreach projects at DOL, working through the voluntary and community sector to identify trusted individuals within the community to provide information and advice to a small percentage of people who face multiple and significant barriers and are therefore very difficult to reach.
Finlay started his career in insurance and spent many years working as a claims specialist. He then moved into training within the financial services industry. Having spent some time delivering and designing training programmes, he became a learning development manager and a relationship manager. Since moving to Digital Outreach, Finlay has successfully run programmes in Scotland, England, Wales and the Isle of Man. Finlay was previously involved in sports such as golf and football, including voluntary coaching roles. However, due to family activities this has more recently developed into enjoying sport in a more passive (watching) capacity!
