After completing a diploma in media studies, Allison began her career writing radio commercials before becoming Radio Manager of in-house shopping centre station, Arndale Radio. Following this she moved into the advertising agency world and specialised in B2B media planning and buying, for which she has 15 years’ experience. During this time she completed the CIM Advanced Certificate in Marketing.
Allison has also trained as a volunteer with the Citizens Advice Bureau and currently is a volunteer for her local community radio station. She was asked by Age Concern Salford to help them launch a radio programme which she went on to produce and co-present on Salford City Radio. She continues in her spare time to facilitate radio training courses, as well as writing the odd radio play!
Her passion is for travel and she loves nothing more than planning her next trip. She has travelled around the world and states that the only continent she hasn’t visited is Antarctica, but she’s not too concerned about visiting there as it’s too cold!
